£18,000 - £23,000/annum

Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant in a primary school in the UK, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality education to pupils. You will assist in the classroom, help manage pupil behavior, and provide individual or group support to children who need extra help. Your role will be crucial in ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher with classroom management and lesson preparation.
  • Support pupils individually or in small groups with their learning activities.
  • Help with the assessment and recording of pupils' progress.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Provide support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes as required.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals about pupil progress and any concerns.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
