Design Technology Technician

Location: Secondary School in Havering
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £20,451 - £20,760 per annum
Interviews: From Thursday 23rd May onwards

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Design Technology Technician at our esteemed secondary school in Havering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of workshops and equipment
• Support teachers and students in the practical aspects of design and technology lessons
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are met
• Manage and organize resources and materials effectively
• Provide technical support and expertise in the use of CAD/CAM equipment

Candidate Requirements:

• Good Knowledge of CAD/CAM and Wood Working Skills: You should be proficient in using CAD/CAM software and have solid woodworking skills to assist in the design and technology department.
• Team Player: You must be willing to collaborate with colleagues and students, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Good Communicator: Effective communication skills are essential to support teachers and students and to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
• Conscientious and Enthusiastic: We seek someone who is dedicated to their role, with a positive attitude towards learning and improvement.
• Organised and Flexible: You need to be well-organized and capable of adapting to the varying demands of the role.
