Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Our client school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with teachers to provide tailored support, assisting with classroom activities, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students with SEN/SEMH, ensuring their unique needs are met.

Classroom Assistance: Aid teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and delivering tailored activities.

Behavioral Support: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behavior, fostering a positive learning environment.

Resource Management: Help in organizing and maintaining educational materials and resources.

Engaging Activities: Assist in creating and supervising engaging and educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.

Inclusive Environment: Promote inclusivity and a sense of belonging among all students.

️ Monitoring Progress: Track and report on student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and parents.
