Supply Desk are looking for a SEN Teacher who has the motivation and dedication for helping students in a safe environment allowing them to improve their learning on a daily basis and has experience working with SEN pupils and know how to approach each pupil depending on the situation. We are looking for a someone with a real passion and dedication to helping those around them in a positive way.

The role/ Responsibilities:

  • You will be working with parents and carers to provide a good academic journey for the pupils with a positive experience and catering to the pupil’s needs
  • To be adaptable in the classroom and be able to approach any situation at hand
  • Build a good working relationship with classroom and pupils as well as the support staff.
  • To be able to plan and also work with pupils 1:1 and give them the support they need through the challenges they face
  • To implement various ways of teaching and various ways of planning lessons. This may involve writing or contributing to individual education plans
  • To adopt and follow all school policies and to be aware of Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety legislation
  • You will be jointly responsible for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in our care, it is a requirement of this role that you adhere to all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Good knowledge of SEN teaching and passion to help develop the pupils learning
  • NVQ in Childcare and education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
  • A teacher who’s is able to relate and follow the school’s ethos of working as a whole school team to ensure all the pupil's academic and emotional needs are met.
  • Able to commute to High Wycombe
  • Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
