GSL Education are seeking Cover Supervisors for immediate start in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a variety of educational settings on a day-to-day basis.
Job Summary:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher.
- Ensure the smooth running of classroom activities based on existing lesson plans.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
- Deal with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with both students and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a school setting or working with children preferred.
- Effective communication skills and classroom management ability.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
