Castle Education are looking to appoint behavioural SEN teaching assistants to support a student with extreme challenging behaviour needs, for a temporary position in a local SEN schools in the York area. Paying £15 per hour for this role.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the teaching team to support students with behavioural difficulties in the classroom.
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students, ensuring their emotional well-being and engagement in learning activities.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviours and promote positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized behaviour plans for students.
- Monitor student progress, record observations, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions and social skills training to students with behavioural difficulties.
- Support students during transitions between activities and help them develop independence and self-regulation skills.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.
- Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians and other stakeholders to ensure consistent support for students.
