Primary HLTA - Runcorn
The Supply Register are proud to be working with Wade Deacon Trust which have a number of schools (Primary and Secondary) affiliated with them. This vacancy is for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ideally on a full time basis for one of our Runcorn-based Primary Schools. If you are a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant (TA) or a Cover Supervisor with Primary experience, you would also be encouraged to apply.
The role of a HLTA is similar to that of a Teaching Assistant with the occasional added responsibilities of covering classes such as PPA cover or covering short term sickness absences. Experience of being the focal point of a classroom is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Working on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who require additional support.
- Occasionally covering the usual class teacher, delivering pre-set work and being the focal point of a class.
- Behaviour management.
Requirements:
- Experience being the focal point of a classroom setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
