Summary

We at GSL Education have been instructed by a client to find an outstanding Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Studies Teacher who is available from September and is ideally seeking a part time role.  Specific days to be confirmed.  The school was ranked as OUTSTANDING on its recent Ofsted report and will benefit from your experience and the passion that you will bring to the subject.

Job Duties:

The Teacher of Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Studies is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in these subjects. They will assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support the overall development of students' understanding in these areas. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in school events and meetings as required.

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Degree in Philosophy, Ethics, Religious Studies, or a related field

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Ethics, Religious Studies, or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Philosophy, Ethics, or Religious Studies is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the subject areas

- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

- Excellent classroom management skills

- Commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Education - Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours within a school environment. The teacher may need to attend meetings, parent evenings, and other school events outside of regular hours. The role requires collaboration with colleagues and adherence to school policies and procedures.
