English Teacher - Maternity Cover

GSL Education invites applications for the position of an English Teacher for a maternity cover starting in September 2024 at a dynamic school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to contribute to an established English department.

Job Summary:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations.
• Foster a passion for literature and language among students, while enhancing their reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Engage in continuous assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adapt lessons accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Utilize innovative teaching techniques and resources to cater to diverse learning needs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school training events.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or a closely related subject.
• Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level, with a strong record of student achievement.
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to implement effective differentiation strategies.
