SEN EARLY YEARS ROOM LEADER

Our client a well-established childcare provider is seeking an SEN Early Years Room Leader, to join their amazing team. This would be a full-time permanent position offering a salary of up to £23,000 depending on experience.

What skills will you have?

For the SEN Early Years Room Leader, you will need a solid understanding of the requirements of EYFS, including how to meet Ofsted standards. You will require a relevant Level 3 or above qualification in early years childcare. For example, a National Nursery Examination Board (NNEB) qualification or a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Child Care, Learning and Development, or a related subject.

Preferred but not essential Room Leaders would have Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), which is equivalent to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and needs a 2:1 degree. While EYPS is not usually required for Room Leader positions, having it can have many benefits for practitioners, such as expanding your knowledge of EYFS, improving your confidence as a professional, and increasing your employability prospects, especially in leadership roles.
