We welcome dynamic, imaginative, and adaptable English educators to join our secondary schools throughout Liverpool. We seek teachers who can delve into the origins of words, decipher literary techniques, and analyse language structures.

Job responsibilities:

Introduce students to a diverse range of literary works from various genres, eras, and cultures to ignite curiosity and fascination. Reveal the beauty and intricacy of the English language by exploring its subtleties, idioms, and etymology. Encourage students to express themselves through writing, poetry, storytelling, or drama, allowing them to unleash their creativity and imagination. Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support student learning and development. Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations to cultivate a safe and respectful learning environment. Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, projects, and other assessment methods.

Requirements:

PGCE and QTS qualifications. An Enhanced Child DBS check or willingness to undergo one (assistance provided). Thorough understanding of the UK national curriculum. Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

Communication skills: Clear verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey concepts and engage students in classroom discussions. Creativity: The capacity to develop innovative and stimulating lessons, labs, and activities that foster curiosity in students. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to tailor teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs and interests of students. Classroom management: Strong classroom management skills to establish a positive and structured learning environment.
