Are you an English Teacher seeking a new, exciting opportunity? Empowering learning are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to start immediately in a Secondary school near Wolverhampton, starting in September covering a Maternity.

This position is full time and will be teaching English up to GCSE. Knowledge on the English GCSE Curriculum is essential & a proven track record of delivering high quality English GCSE results.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and must have UK Secondary school experience.

Duties of an English Teacher:

  • Teaching & Delivering English language and literature GCSE Curriculum
  • Sole focus on delivering high quality lessons each day.
  • Sit in on SLT Team Meetings, having a say on Key Decisions within the School
  • Managing Behaviour - Building Relationships with staff, students & parents
  • A person who is passionate, enthusiastic, and willing to go the extra mile to help and support children reach their maximum potential in every subject.
  • Be able to work well as part of a close-knit team as well as think on your feet.

  • Strong English subject knowledge up to GCSE
  • Good behaviour management skills and be confident following school behaviour policies.
  • A substantial school reference.

  • Previous experience working within an English Secondary School Department
