Do you have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Support Specialists to join our Secondary schools in Braintree. As an SEN 1:1 Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored assistance to students, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Personalized Support: Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, addressing their individual learning requirements and helping them overcome challenges.

  2. Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

  3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust support strategies accordingly.

  4. Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management techniques to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.

  5. Communication and Advocacy: Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders, advocating for the needs and interests of students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields (desirable).
