Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join one of our exceptional Secondary Schools in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by providing cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities according to the school's curriculum.
• Manage student behavior effectively, applying appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Support students in their learning, offering guidance and assistance as required.
• Liaise with teaching staff and school administration to ensure smooth operation of the cover process.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and behavior incidents during cover sessions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and discipline.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting the academic and personal development of young people.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups as required.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is essential.
