We are looking for a Early Years Play Assistant to start in September in a Bedford Primary School.

This role is 3 days a week and permanent.

The ideal candidate would need a Level 2 Qualification in Childcare/Education or a equivalent qualification.

Ideally need 6 months experience as a Teaching Assistant in early years or experience in childcare with young children.

Proven track record of achieving targets and hitting high success rates in the classroom or within childcare.

This is a mainstream Church of England School so we are looking for someone who understands the values and ethos in order to maintain within the classroom.

The main duties of the role include:

• To work collaboratively and constructively as a member of the EYFS and whole school team.
• To promote the ethos and values of our Church of England school.
• To collaboratively support the progress and attainment of the pupils within the EYFS curriculum.
• To share in the corporate responsibility for the well-being and individual needs of all pupils.
• To hold up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and the protection of children and young people.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum.
• Deliver activites and push high quality learning to progress the pupils.
• Collaborate with the SEND team to provide individual learning plans.
• Use a variety of engaging Teaching methods
