We are recruiting for a Nursery Manager for a fantastic nursery in the Kingston area. Close to the train station and local public transport this purpose-built nursery was meticulously planned and designed by experienced childcare experts. It is an amazing space that provides ample opportunities for children to run, play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.

As the Nursery Manager you will oversee the children’s care and along with your team’s support create a thriving nursery environment where the children can flourish. You will set the tone for the nursery, implementing procedures and policies to ensure the best experience for the children, parents and carers.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the nursery operations and compliance, leading the exceptional team, and maintaining commercial and educational standards. This is a role where your knowledge of children’s education, parent interaction and people development combine to create an engaging environment of safety, learning and fun.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing meaningful partnerships with parents, ensuring child wellbeing is at the heart of everything that you do
  • Lead the nursery curriculum and manage all observations, two year old checks and assessments in line with the statutory framework
  • Manage, recruit, train and develop the team regularly appraising them and supporting their professional development
  • Assume ownership of departmental budgets with full accountability for P&L
  • Create a nurturing environment and a great place to work
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, with previous nursery manager experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be flexible with working pattern and last-minute changes
