We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding team at a specialist SEN school located in Lichfield. Our school, recognized by OFSTED as 'OUTSTANDING', prides itself on providing exceptional education and support for students with a range of SEN requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support and assistance to students with SEN, including Autism and behavioural needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Assisting with the personal care and well-being of students as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly Autism and behavioural needs, is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential.
