This vibrant one form entry Primary school is seeking a competent Finance Officer due to a long standing staff member retiring.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day finance transactions. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with bags of initiative to undertake the following duties:

  • Lead on all aspects of finance administration for the school
  • Process orders, invoice payments and bank reconciliations
  • Compile monthly budget reports and highlight any anomalies
  • Maintain the Schools Financial Value Statement (SVFS) guidelines
  • Submission of financial returns to the Local Authority

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level, including English & Maths, with previous experience working within school finance and a good working knowledge of FMS & SIMS.

You will be highly organised and can manage multiple work streams effectively. This is a part time role, offering 20 hours per week on a flexible basis, term time only.

FTE is £27,858 - £31,782.

In return, you will be joining a friendly school with excellent CPD on offer. 

Interview and assessment day is June 24th 2024, however, the school will close the application submission date earlier if suitable applications have been received.
