I am looking for a Romanian EAL Teaching Assistant to support a number of pupils with English as an additional language for a Secondary school in Greenwich.

If you have experience working with Secondary aged children and are fluent in Romanian or Urdu or Portuguese and English, please get in touch ASAP.

The Role

As an EAL Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils who have recently relocated to London or have very little English and require translation support.  You will be supporting pupils in settling in to school, communication, social skills and some initial class based learning. You will work closely with the teachers and senior leadership teams to provide interpretation and communication for both the pupils and their families. Some of the pupils will have emotional or behavioural needs based on their transition to London, so a caring and committed approach is ideal.

Staff at the school have high expectations for students and pupil behaviour is good.
