The role:

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and compassionate individuals to support children with special educational needs in the classroom. As a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) sometimes known as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), supporting the pupils both academically and emotionally and may sometimes physically as well. The school requires someone who can empathise with the pupils whilst still building high quality and appropriate relationships. Experience with working with autistic pupils who communicate in a non-verbal way is required

The applicant:

The successful applicant is expected to have maths and English (GCSE grade C/4 and above) or alternatively a suitable childcare qualification. SEND qualification is preferred but not essential. Experience and personality are equally desirable. Being able to work in a team as well as individually is important to provide maximum support to the class teacher.
