The school –

This is a small village school just outside of Baldock, Hertfordshire.

They have a team of dedicated staff, delightful pupils and supportive parents. The idyllic setting, which is in the middle of the village, has well equipped play areas, garden and wildlife sections, with fields beyond. They are a Forest School and these grounds provide the perfect setting for sessions. Everyone who visits the school agrees that it is a very special place.

The school has 4 good sized classrooms as well as a central hall. Classes are mixed aged and organised into reception, year 1 & 2, year 3 & 4 and year 5 & 6. The school has excellent IT facilities including laptops, interactive C-Touch whiteboards in every classroom, Ipads, visualisers and coding robots.

The school is lucky to be surrounded by attractive gardens ands a large playing field. There is also a playground area, tyre park, climbing equipment and a conservation area that is used as a science resource and Forest School. The EYFS class has a separate outdoor area with an array of equipment which they are encouraged to use throughout the day.

The role –

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an EYFS/KS1 class teacher to join our wonderful school located in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. We are seeking a professional who has experience of teaching across the curriculum and is a true team player. This is a permanent position, working full time.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher who has a proven record of excellent teaching and who is excited about helping to develop a creative, progressive curriculum. You will also demonstrate high expectations and the ability to provide an inclusive learning environment for all pupils to succeed. You will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils at the school. Ideally, you will lead on Science and Forest School, however, subject leader responsibilities are open for discussion.
