Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Brinnington, Stockport
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team and contribute to the academic and personal development of our students.
Role Overview: As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our Key Stage 2 students. Your resilience, confidence, and enthusiasm will be key in engaging with our diverse student body and assisting in their growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, providing assistance to individual students or small groups as required.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for all students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with additional needs, implementing tailored strategies to help them achieve their full potential.
- Promote positive behavior management techniques, reinforcing school policies and expectations consistently.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform future planning.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a primary school setting.
- A resilient, confident, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous but not essential.
