Volunteering – Befriending or Mentoring

Can you spare 1 hour of your time per week, or even a month?

Just over a cup of tea you can help improve a young life.

The Young Lives Foundation is a child and youth charity, providing support via volunteer mentors/befrienders to young people aged 8-25, who lack a role model and therefore guidance and support to help with their life challenges.

We are currently seeking new volunteers in your area.

Ashford, Folkestone, Romney Marsh and surrounding areas

We provide full training and support that will enable you to help change the life of a young person for the better, and you will learn new transferable skills and make new friendships with the wider charity team. All expenses are paid, covering your travel and activity costs.

Everyone has something to offer as a mentor - an hour per week of your time really can change a young person’s life!

All costs are fully expensed. Time commitment required is just one to two hours per week.

How can I help?

  • Can you donate 1 hour of your time per a week?
  • Be open and non-judgemental?
  • Want to make a difference in a young person’s life?
  • Offer friendly advice via face to face, video call, phone call…from the comfort of your own home?

What can we offer you?

  • Join a supportive organisation and make new friends.
  • Company events.
  • Invest into training you
  • Learn new skills.
  • Expenses covered.

Want to hear more? Then send your name, email address and contact number via this advert and we will be in touch to start your journey with Young Lives Foundation.

This is a voluntary role with no salary.
