Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant of Special Needs

Join us as a Teaching Assistant at SEND school located in Wakefield. Starting on June 10th, you'll work alongside dedicated educators, shaping the learning journey for all students.

We are looking for a TA with experience working with students with Autism and other special educational needs. Familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum, an understanding of child development and learning, excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and dedication to promoting equal opportunities are the key qualities we seek in a TA.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
  • Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
  • Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
  • Setting high expectations for student achievement.
  • Providing feedback on student progress.
  • Upholding child protection policies.
  • Assisting with supervision outside of class.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in teaching support.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Right to work in the UK.
