Food technology teacher - Rochdale - September
We are specifically working with a Good secondary school in Rochdale, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them teaching Food Technology key stage 3 & 4 from September, on an ongoing basis, for the full academic year on a full-time basis.
You will be required to fully immerse yourself in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. The head of department are engaged with local primary school to make sure knowledge is built on once they come to the secondary school. In year 10 the students have the chance to take Food and Nutrition at GCSE.
This is a school that is ambitious with high standards that most of the students rise to, even when they are continuously increased. The students are incredibly hard working and have high attendance, showing how welcoming the environment of the school is. The students also have chances to get involved in extra curriculum activities: astronomy and retro games.
The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who have more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree educated with a good classification (2:2).
Desired fields of knowledge is Food Technology.
PGCE and QTS in Design and Technology.
Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference).
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided).
Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided).
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional children related references
